TOWN OF PRESTON WARNING OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2007 The electors and those persons eligible to vote in town meetings of the Town of Preston, Connecticut, are hereby warned and notified that a Special Town Meeting will be held at the Preston Town Hall, 389 Route 2, Preston, Connecticut, on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. for the following purpose: ITEM 1 - To consider and vote on a resolution to endorse the application of the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments for a grant to establish a Web Based Regional Geographic Information System. A copy of the full text of the resolution is on file and available for inspection at the Office of the Town Clerk. Dated at Preston, Connecticut this 19th Day of November, 2007. Hours: Friday and Saturday 8:00 - 4:30

The town transfer station is located on Ross Road. All vehicles entering the

facility must display a Transfer Station Sticker, there are no exceptions. The

stickers are available from employees at the Transfer Station. Be prepared to show

the vehicle registration with a Preston address in order to receive the sticker.

The town accepts for disposal:

All items must be separated.

Household trash (bagged)

Bulky waste (all bulky waste is weighed & a fee charged for disposal)

Parks & Recreation has a box for cell phones and toner cartridges at the library.

The town does not accept leaves or brush per Town Ordinance.
