Lost, Found & Adoption

If you would like to report a lost dog or cat, please call the Animal Control Officer at (860) 887-8091, and we will log all relevant information and post a photo if one is supplied. Please remember to contact us if your pet returns home; otherwise, we will keep the information for seven (7) consecutive days.

If your pet should become lost:

  • Notify area Veterinarians and area town Animal Control Departments
  • Place an Ad in the local paper or post flyers

For cat owners: If your cat uses a litter box, DO NOT clean it but instead put it outside in a visible area of your yard. Chances are yourcat will return home. Do not place food or water outside as this will attract all kinds of animals.

Information on pets currently reported missing,

GATORMISSING CAT - Reward - please help find Gator - he was last seen around the Route 164 & Overlook Drive area.  He is a male cat and super friendly.  He has been missing since August 3 and is an indoor/outdoor cat.  His vocal cords don't work, so he cannot meow.  PLEASE check your sheds, garages, cars, and yards as he likes to climb and it is possible he is stuck up somewhere high.  Please contact Nicole at 860-917-9357 if you have any information to share.

He is really missed at home and any help finding him would be greatly appreciated!
