Important Message From Selectwoman; Sandra Allyn-Gauthier

We have seen and been sharing updates that there is an uptick  in cases in Preston. At this time, the Governor is not mandating nor giving an Executive Order to delay Phase 3 in our community The State continues to monitor cases using a metric of a 14 day average I have had continual contact with Patrick from Uncas Health District sine the beginning of this pandemic and will remain strongly dedicated in the communication, The Governor and the State have the control and authority to make the directive mandatory. Since it is currently recommended and not mandated, we all need to be more diligent and disciplined in all of our safety protocols to reverse this trend and to minimize the the risk of the spread of the virus. The health and safety of our community is what  is most important so let's do our part to keep everyone safe.

The summary of the safety  protocols are; Stay home if you can and reduce large gatherings. Wash your hands. Wear a mask. Social distance. Clean and disinfect areas Stay home if you are sick.

Thank you and I know we can do this by each of us doing our part.
