The Preston Town Hall is always closed on Mondays, with the exception of some evening meetings on certain weeks. Due to the impending snowstorm forecasted for this area on Sunday night into Monday, the evening meetings scheduled at the Preston Town Hall and Preston Public Library on Monday, February 23, 2026, have been CANCELLED. They include: 

• Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), 6:30pm, Town Hall
• Conservation & Agricultural Commission (CAC) 7:00pm, Town Hall
• Democratic Town Committee (DTC), 7:00pm, Library

This media release is from the CT DOT regarding an upgrade to pedestrian traffic signal infrastructure in District 2. In Preston, this pertains to Route 2 at Mathewson Mill and Ross Roads. Construction is anticipated to start in the Spring of 2028.
