Lost, Found & Adoption



Chaos is a 5 1/2 Year old feral rescue cat. She is a tiger cat, exact breed unknown. Chaos has a  microchip and has been an indoor cat only.
She was last seen at 9:40 PM on June 27th, Chaos ran out of the house when the door opened. Located on Brickyard Rd. (Route 2 end). Flyer

5/2/2019... Spike

Edited missing dog

Spike is a 1 Year Old lab pit mix. He is white with brown around his right eye and on his left ear. He was wearing a blue collar with tags and a blue bandanna. His Preston License is #64, and is micro chipped.
He was last seen near the intersection of Route 138 and Route 49 in Voluntown. Spike fled the scene of a 2 car auto accident. He was in one of the cars involved, and may have injuries. He is friendly but can be wary of new people.

Reporting Lost Animal

If you would like to report a lost dog or cat, please call the Animal Control Officer at
860-887-8091, and we will log all relevant information and post a photo if one is supplied. Please remember to contact us if your pet returns home; otherwise, we will keep the information for 7 consecutive days.

If Your Pet Should Become Lost

  • Notify area Veterinarians and area town Animal Control Departments
  • Place an advertisement in the local paper or post flyers

For Cat Owners

If your cat uses a litter box, do not clean it but instead put it outside in a visible area of your yard. Chances are your cat will return home. Do not place food or water outside as this will attract all kinds of animals.

If you want to include information about your missing pet on this page, please
 Email Animal Control. In the email please include:

  • Breed
  • Date animal went missing and a picture
  • Description
  • Name of the pet
  • Street/area where it was lost

Prior to posting on the website, all information received will be reviewed by the Animal Control Officer for verification.
