Planning & Zoning Commission

Beside the powers and duties conferred or imposed by state law on Planning and Zoning Commissions, the Commission is required to update the Town Plan of Conservation and Development at least every ten years, and determines the manner in which zoning regulations are enforced.

Redevelopment Agency

Their vision is to create a sustainable economic development which provides a high tax base, low impact on Town services, provides job opportunities to the regional workforce and serves as both a connection to and attraction for local and neighboring businesses and communities.

Republican Town Committee

The Republican Party believes in the ability of each individual to solve his or her own problems with minimal interference by government, and it supports sound fiscal policies which will provide opportunities for all citizens.

Senior Affairs

The Preston Senior Affairs Committee studies the needs of, and coordinates the programs for the aging.

This Board governs the appeals for variances, for location approval, approval for dealers in or the repairing of motor vehicles and appeals to decisions of the Zoning Enforcement Officer.
