Subdivision Regulations

Purpose

The purpose of these Regulations is:

Promote and to insure the orderly development of land within the Town so that the land to be subdivided shall be of such character that it can be used for building purposes without danger to health and safety
So that open spaces for parks and playgrounds shall be provided in locations deemed proper by the Commission
So that proper provisions shall be made for water supply, surface drainage, and sewage disposal
So that proposed streets shall be in harmony with existing or officially proposed major Town roads and so arranged and constructed so as to provide an adequate and convenient system for the present and prospective traffic needs
To protect the health, safety, convenience and welfare of the inhabitants of the Town of Preston.
